In May, Ry and I decided to visit the Peak, so we popped over to Central.
Victoria Peak is the highest mountain on Hong Kong Island with an altitude of 552m.
With over seven million visitors per year, The Peak is a major tourist attraction offering panoramic views over the city, as well as being a cool haven from Hong Kong’s summer heat.
You take the Peak Tram, which makes its way up the super steep hill, costing a measly $40 return (just over £3).
When you arrive, there are two shopping centers with lots of shops and restaurants ( a tad too expensive for us,) but they had a Bubba Gump which was pretty cool!
So we settled for Mcdonalds.
Ry tried the black burger, which was grim…
… but we had some pretty spectacular views!
I don’t think these guys were in it for the scenery though…
The actual summit of Victoria Peak is occupied by a radio telecommunications facility and is closed to the public.
However the surrounding area of public parks and high-value residential land is the area referred to as The Peak.
Also, a special treat for you Bruce Lee fans out there, this is the place where the opening credits of Enter the Dragon (the first Chinese martial arts film produced by a major Hollywood studio) was filmed!
I’ll leave you with a cheeky little outfit post 😉
The Peak is definitely worth a visit, check out their website here
Hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine, we’re off to the beach now! ^.^
