When Ry and I first started seeing each other, I never even dreamt that we’d be celebrating our 3 year anniversary in Hong Kong!
I’m so lucky that everything worked out and we haven’t killed each other yet…
Our morning began with present-opening!
I bought Ry some Creme Eggs, Fairtrade chocolate cookies (he loves his organic food…and cookies, of course!) and some funky boxers….
…along with a couple of new tops; he loved the dinosaur T-shirt! 😀
Ry gave me a mini cat wearing a hat…
…bearing a lovely little message!
After a lazy start to the day, we sorted stuff out for our trip to Thailand the following week (exciting things like collecting our Bahts and laundry, as it was our last day off before the trip!)
By the time that we’d sorted everything out, it was already the late afternoon, so we just decided to take it easy and go for a stroll around the park across the road.
We spent our first anniversary at London Zoo, so it seemed pretty fitting that we spent our third one at the local reptile house 🙂
It houses 20 species of reptiles in 43 live exhibits.
We saw snakes, giant tortoises, strange turtles and different types of gecko, lizard and dragons!
Alligators always look so still that you’d think they’re not real!
I think Ry was inspired by the reptile house and his T-shirt to do a ‘brilliant’ impression of a T-Rex…
We wandered around the park in the sunshine a little more.
Casual dance among the palm trees.
Old men playing checkers.
Although the plan was to have a fancy buffet for dinner at the local Gold Coast Hotel, Ryan was feeling a little under the weather, so I just cooked us a Thai curry and we snuggled up to watch ‘Frozen’ instead! (I know it’s going to seem almost blasphemous to some, but we didn’t actually think that much of it. I personally preferred ‘Tangled.’)
Finally, I want to say a big thank you to Ryan for putting up with me over the last 3 years and for making the life-changing decision to move over to HK!
Looking forward to many more adventures! ❤
