Josh came to Hong Kong for an Ellie Goulding gig

Tuesday 12th August

Josh arrived at our local MTR station in the early afternoon. We hugged, caught up and he unloaded lots of belated birthday and Christmas gifts on me before the jet lag caught up with him and he had a little snooze before heading out. By the late afternoon, we were ready to rock!

Our first stop was the Wong Tai Sin Temple, one of the most famous temples in Hong Kong – home to Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. If you fancy checking out more about the temple, feel free to check out our previous post!

As the sky began to darken, we popped into the food court in the Hollywood Plaza in Diamond Hill for an early dinner. It’s full of cheap, delicious food stalls serving all types of Asian food (i.e. Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean etc.), so there’s something for everyone! I didn’t take a photo of the food, but I had the same meal as Phoebe’s visit so if you’re feeling nosy, go and have a gander 😉

After dinner, we headed over to KITEC for the gig!

We waited for around an hour, practiced our AWESOME dance moves and watched the room fill up with excited fans…

Although I’ve seen her in England twice already, I just couldn’t miss out on seeing her again…I mean it’s not every day that Josh and Ellie Goulding are in Hong Kong, right?!

She is insanely talented!

I got goose bumps when she covered Alt-J’s Tessellate.

Although she’s recently finished touring and is currently working on her third album, keep your eyes peeled for future tour dates!

I promise you won’t be disappointed 😉

If those photos and her sexy cover weren’t enough to convince you, here’s my favourite Ellie song.

This is my favourite cover 🙂

Stay tuned for day 2 😉
