Besides the Bruce Lee statue on the Avenue of Stars, The Big Buddha was another of Craig’s top destinations in Hong Kong.
ARE YOU READY FOR THIS?!
We entered the cable car with excitement abound!
Queenie’s collage of Craig and I ascending a mountain, while striking some poses.
Finbar’s endlessly excited face.
Admiring the views on the way up…
…with our destination in sight!
Craig lookin’ fierce.
Also sporting a stylish yellow ribbon.
We absorbed some Western culture to prepare for the Eastern culture to come.
Craig and Finbar really appreciated these large archways.
Not to mention the stairs which they both decided to sprint.
Craig focusing his chi.
More Buddha selfies…just in case you didn’t know where we were.
In the distance, we saw the Po Lin Monastery and took some photos with the bodhisattvas.
We made our way back down the stairs and headed over to the Monastery.
Having a great time, taking some sneaky photos of the awesome interior.
On the way out, we got a bit of rain…
…so I found some shelter under an epic looking information board.
The mist left by the rain put added to the Buddha’s scenery.
So we took a few more photos.
With the help of a tree stump and a self timer, we took my favourite photo of the entire trip! 😀
Heading back, Finbar popped into a souvenir shop to buy some MASSIVE incense, which we were surprised to hear made it through customs.
We stayed pretty much till closing time, so it was a good time to get a photo with the main attraction.
We finished off the night with a game of football in Lok Fu with some friends that Craig and Finbar had made while visiting the Walled City Park on their first day.
