AIA Great European Carnival

Sunday, 7th February

On the first day of our Chinese New Year holidays, we were lucky enough to be treated to some rather glorious weather so I rounded up my fave gal pals (Sally and Hermina) and we headed down to the AIA Carnival on the Central harbourfront.

We had a quick lunch of wraps and soups in Pret to fuel up for the day!

We passed the big wheel which was accompanied by a dragon over the festive period.

It was also an added bonus that  entry to the carnival was free during Feburary as opposed to the $150 entry during December and January.

In its second year, Hong Kong’s biggest outdoor carnival  featured 30 rides imported from all over Europe and a wide range of games to win cuddly toys!

I loved spending the holidays with my fave weirdos in the sunshine! 😀

How amazing does this photo from Sally’s film camera look?

That depth, though.

The Udderbelly Festival made its international debut on Hong Kong as a partner of the AIA Carnival. We didn’t see any of the local and international music acts or comedians but we did sit on the iconic purple cow.

Why pay to see a professional comedian when you can enjoy this for free?!

After laughing a bit too much, we headed back though the carnival and made our way over to the harbour to take a few snaps.

Sally’s true form.

It’s so great to have friends who love taking photos as much as I do!

After admiring the harbour and rocking out to some Filipino music, we headed over to the market next to the carnival. They had some clothes, jewellery stalls and food stalls but the food looked like it had been sat around all day, so that was super appealing.

Sally and I bought some black and white film for our cameras though, so that was pretty awesome!

Love this shot with the light and shadows on the big wheel.

While waiting for Hermina, Sally helped me take some excellent #OOTD shots.

I am what the fashion blogging world is missing.

Thanks guuurl.

As we left, I captured this bad boy that I’m pretty proud of.

I still want to ride on the Aqualuna, who wants to join me?

I also vlogged this day which Ry lovingly edited so we’d love for you to go check it out 😉
